Imole Counselling to Host Second Annual Couples Retreat

Imole Counselling and Therapy Services is set to hold the second edition of its annual Couples Retreat with the Solarins from Saturday, March 21 to Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Ziba Beach Resort in Lagos.

Marriage counsellor Esther Solarin and her husband, Lanre Solarin, said the programme is designed to give married couples a platform to reconnect, recharge and strengthen their commitment to each other.

“The couples’ retreat gives partners an opportunity to step away from everyday reality and truly focus on their marriages, which in turn strengthens their bond and union,” the convener said.

The 2026 edition, themed “Sex on the Beach,” will focus on helping couples understand their bodies and the different seasons of life, enrich their sexual relationships through practical knowledge, and create space for honest reflection on sexual expectations and experiences. The theme also centres on promoting sexual healing and encouraging open communication between partners.

“Sex is a beautiful thing, and couples must make deliberate efforts to learn the art of intimacy and understand what their partner truly wants,” the organisers added.

Sex therapist and psychologist Olawunmi Esan will participate in the retreat, providing guidance on addressing longstanding sexual concerns. The programme will also feature teaching sessions, breakout discussions, couple games, bonding time at the beach, and a bonfire night.

The event will conclude with a renewal of marital vows, which the organisers describe as a symbolic reminder of the couples’ ongoing commitment to their marriages.
