Bomadi LGA Chairman Named in Who’sWho Africa 2025, Wins Nigeria’s Best Performing LGA Chairman Award
Hon. Andaye Rawlings Dagidi, Chairman of Bomadi Local Government Area in Delta State, has been named in the Who’sWho Africa Bibliographical Compendium 2025, the annual publication of Time Africa Magazine. The announcement was made at a ceremony held at the Nigeria National Merit Awards House, Abuja, in November 2025, where Dagidi also received the Best Performing LGA Chairman of the Year Award, in recognition of his transformative leadership.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dagidi lauded Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, saying:
“I am grateful for your consistent encouragement, visionary leadership, and unwavering support for grassroots development. Much of Bomadi’s progress has been made possible through your guidance.”
He added that the governor, through his MORE Agenda, had
“turned Delta State into the biggest construction site in Nigeria,” with multiple projects delivered and many more underway in virtually every community.
Dagidi pledged:
“I will not disappoint the people of Bomadi. We are committed to delivering the dividends of democracy through transparency, development, and inclusive administration.”
Dagidi, a native of Kpakiama, Bomadi LGA, has gained a reputation as a pragmatic and people-focused leader. His educational journey—Olou Primary School, Esama Grammar School, Community Secondary School Isampou, and a B.Sc. in Biology from Niger Delta University, Amassoma—shaped his analytical and solution-oriented approach to governance.
His political career began in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), serving as Chairman of the Kpakiama Urban Community Electoral Committee (2008), Financial Secretary of PDP Bomadi LGA (2008–2012), and later as Chairman of the PDP Youth Circuit, Delta State (2013–2016), championing youth inclusion and civic engagement. He also served as Supervisory Councilor for Works and Environment (2014–2017), implementing infrastructural upgrades and environmental initiatives.
Since his election as Bomadi LGA Chairman in July 2024, Dagidi has commissioned 14 major projects, including the Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori Ultra-Modern Multipurpose Event Centre, a High Court Complex, and residential facilities for judicial officers.
His administration also reconnected Bomadi to the National Electricity Grid after more than 15 years without reliable power and launched empowerment programmes for youth and the elderly.
In July 2025, Dagidi joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party’s first Bomadi LGA Chairman.
