Peace Achievers Int’l Awards: Former Presidential Candidate, Prof. Imumolen Honoured With Recognition of Excellence in Leadership

Philanthropist and former presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Prof. Chris Imumolen has been conferred with award of recognition at the just concluded 2025 edition of the annual Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards, organised by Peace Ambassadors Agency.

Prof. Imumolen, the Chancellor of Unique Open University Lagos bagged the honour for excellence in leadership and human capital development.

This is in recognition of his role in advancing the horizon of human capital development and giving young Nigerians access to meaningful and sustainable means of livelihood.

Prof. Imumolen, who has consistently used his Prof. Chris Imumolen (PCI) Foundation to uplift society, recently built and donated a fully furnished library to the Lugbe community in the Federal Capital Territory, a project that has been widely commended as a boost to literacy and learning in the area.

He has extended scholarships to thousands of Nigerian youths and students in neighbouring countries, helping them acquire quality education and professional skills.

Only recently, his foundation awarded a ₦2.7 million cash gift to the best graduating student of Global Wealth University, Togo, where he also serves as founder and vice chancellor.

Not long ago, he received the operational license for Unique Open University from the National Universities Commission, creating broader opportunity to train young African to be creators of employment through practical education.

With the theme, Peace Building Through Sectoral Partnerships: Public and Private Sector Collaboration, the Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards took place November 8, 2025 at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja.

This 15th edition of the award also featured conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degree from American Management University California USA and Peace Icon Award.

The Project Director of Peace Ambassadors Agency, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe said this event which coincided with the 15th anniversary of the Peace Achievers International Conference and Awards presented an opportunity to celebrate a decade and half of promoting peace, advocacy for change in Nigeria and consistent support for national unity.

Other personalities honoured include, Principal partner, Bosslady Law Chamber, Barr. Orbby Agwuncha, CEO, One Percent International, Ambassador Stephanie Nnadi, Dune Group CEO, Rivervalley Group of Companies Republic of Zimbabwe, Her Excellency, Amb. Prof. Smelly Dube and others.
