Speakers to Discuss Security Issues in Vulnerable Communities, As Gavel Int’l Holds Annual Lecture, Awards

Gavel International has announced that its 2025 annual lecture and awards would congregate speakers made up of legal luminaries and security experts to speak on the effect of national security policies on vulnerable communities from human rights viewpoint.

The event to be chaired by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN) will be held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Ikeja, Lagos, on November 11, 2025, by 10am prompt.

Themed “The Impact of National Security Policies on Vulnerable Communities: A Human Rights Perspective”, the Gavel International, organisers of the event, emphasised the need to critically look into how the national security policies that have been rolled out over the years have translated to the ultimate security and peace in the violence prone communities, while focusing on the rights of the people in the affected communities.

The keynote speaker is Prof. Yusuf Olaolu Ali (SAN) to be supported by other speakers like Dr Olukayode Ajulo (SAN), Mr Gbenga Omotosho, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos State; AIG Tunde Ogunshakin (rtd) and Major General James Ataguba (rtd).
