Honda Nigeria is showcasing its latest products and innovations at the 2025 Lagos International Trade Fair, which kicked off on Friday, October 6th, and will run until November 16th at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. The exhibition features Honda’s full range of products, including its latest automobiles, motorcycles, and power products.
Head of Sales, Marketing, and Logistics, Remi Adams, said the company’s participation in the fair is motivated by its commitment to connecting with people and providing products that meet their needs.
“The motivation is people. The Lagos International Trade Fair is a renowned event that everyone wants to be part of. It’s an opportunity for us to connect our products to the people.”
Adams also highlighted the company’s contribution to the Nigerian economy, noting that Honda’s assembly operations in the country have created jobs and transferred knowledge to Nigerians. “We touch lives, and the number of employees is way over 200. And every day, what we do is to see how to enhance the lives of those who work with the brand,” he added.
Honda will offer exclusive trade fair discounts on select vehicles and power products throughout the event. While the company does not currently have specific financing arrangements with banks, Adams said Honda is exploring partnerships with financial institutions to make its products more accessible to customers.
“We are making efforts to see how we can partner with the government and financial institutions to provide financing options for our customers,” he said. This move is expected to boost sales and make Honda’s products more affordable for Nigerians.
Although Honda is not launching any new products at the fair, it will showcase its newly released Wave motorcycle, designed for individual users. The automobile segment will feature the HR-V and CR-V models, which are assembled in Nigeria.
Manager, After Sales Automobile, Mr. Tobi Ademoye, said the fair provides a unique opportunity for Honda to connect with people and showcase its brand values.
“The brand stands for people, and the exhibition will feature our full range of products, including our latest automobiles, motorcycles, and power products,” he said.
Ademoye noted that the automotive industry in Nigeria faces several challenges, including infrastructure, technical know-how, and financing. However, Honda has been able to address some of these challenges by expanding its dealership network and collaborating with banks to provide financing options for customers. “We try to reach out in different ways to make our products and services accessible to customers across the country,” he said.
By doing so, Honda is committed to driving mobility and growth in Nigeria. With its wide range of products and exclusive discounts, Honda is set to attract a large crowd and further solidify its position in the Nigerian market.
