IG Aguowo Foundation Chairman Shares Vision of a Healthier, Educated Nigeria at DIPF AGM

The Chairman of IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation, Ichie Ignatius Onyeka Aguowo (Ugogbuzuo na Nibo), has reiterated his unwavering commitment to advancing education, healthcare, and skill acquisition initiatives across Nigeria. He made this known to Akpoazaa Media during his interview at the 6th Annual General Meeting and Ascension Night of De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF), held recently at The Lagos Continental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos and The Monarch Event Center Lekki Lagos.

As a distinguished Hierarchy Commander and active member of De Imperial Philanthropic Family, Ichie Aguowo has consistently championed human capital development as a fundamental pathway to national progress. His foundation, which has already impacted over 800 beneficiaries through scholarships, medical outreach, and empowerment programmes, continues to expand its reach to underserved communities across the country.

Speaking at the event, he emphasized that community-centered philanthropy remains the driving force behind his organisation’s interventions, expressing his belief that every young Nigerian deserves access to quality education, reliable healthcare, and the opportunity to become economically independent.

“Our commitment is to transform lives, one beneficiary at a time. When you empower a child with education or support a family with healthcare, you are building the future of our nation,” he stated.

Founded with a mission to reduce inequality and create opportunities for disadvantaged individuals, the IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation has grown into one of the most impactful charitable organisations emerging from the Southeast. Its scholarship programme supports pupils and students from primary school to tertiary levels, while its healthcare initiatives include free surgeries, medications, and preventive health education in rural and semi-urban areas.

Aguowo applauded the vision and leadership of the National President of DIPF, High Chief Dr. (Sir) Darlington Nwabunike, describing the collective philanthropic achievements of the family as a testament to unity, compassion, and shared responsibility.

He further disclosed that the foundation is set to scale its operations in 2026 through increased partnerships and an expanded skills-training scheme aimed at addressing youth unemployment.

“When we empower our youths with practical skills, we are not just solving today’s problems; we are creating long-term solutions for our economy,” he added.

The event was attended by top government officials, business leaders, and humanitarian advocates, including former Governor of Abia State, Distinguished Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and Deputy Speakers of State Houses of Assembly, among others.

As Nigeria continues to seek innovative solutions to educational and health deficiencies, the IG Aguowo Foundation stands as a beacon of inclusive development, driven by vision, integrity, and sustainable impact.
