Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation Takes Pad-A-Girl Campaign to FCT School, Distributes Sanitary Kits

In advancement of menstrual hygiene, cleanliness and dignity of the girl child, a non-governmental organization, Queen Jennifer Ephraim Foundation has launched Pad-A-Girl Campaign initiative in Abuja.

This is part of the organization’s drive to build a healthier, stronger and more compassionate society through education and support.

Themed “She Matters”, the programme emphasizes the importance of every girl child deserving love, care and equal opportunity to thrive in the society.

During a visit to Government Junior Secondary school, Dutse Sagwari, the founder of the Foundation, Jennifer Ephraim said the initiative became crucial in view of the need to educate the girls the right steps to take during their menstrual period to maintain hygiene.

While recalling that some of them during their school age could not enjoy such privilege because it was seen as a taboo, Queen Ephraim reiterated the commitment of her organization to continue to offer assistance in helping young Nigerian girls achieve their full potentials.

In her remarks, Vice Principal Admin,
of the school Mrs Okafor Fidelia thanked the foundation for deciding to pick the school as one of the beneficiaries of the outreach.

Veteran actress, Tonto Dike was also part of the outreach team and she took time to demonstrate to the students how to put on and discard used pads.

Also in the team was her PR manager, Alex Nwankwo an Abuja-based PR consultant popularly known as AlexReports among others.

The students could not hold their joy as they did not only benefit from the sanitary kits shared but on the awareness created.

Jennifer Chisom Ephraim, a fast-rising Nollywood actress has remained consistent in discovering herself and deploying her talents to contribute to the development of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
