Tinubu Felicitates Aide, Sen. Lado on His Birthday

President Bola Tinubu has felicitated Kano-born politician and presidential adviser, Senator Basheer Lado, as he marks his birthday on October 16, 2025.
Senator Lado, currently Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters, had represented Kano Central in the upper chamber of the National Assembly between 2011 and 2015.
The President, in a release issued on Wednesday by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, thanked Senator Lado for his service to the nation in various positions he held, including as Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI) and Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
President Tinubu acknowledged Senator Lado’s work fostering harmony between the Executive arm and the Senate, ensuring that the President’s vision and the nation’s legislative priorities are advanced with diplomacy, wisdom, and respect.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to endow the former lawmaker with good health and greater wisdom as he continues to serve the nation.
Also, the President rejoiced with Senator Ahmed Aliyu on his birthday.
President Tinubu, in a tribute stated, inter alia:

“As the Sarkin Yakin Keffi, Magajin Dagin Lafia Bare–Bari, and Senator of the Federal Republic, you have exemplified the virtues of humility, loyalty, dedication, and Philanthropy.
“As Senator representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts (SPAC), you have brought to bear your passion for transparency, accountability, fiscal discipline, and advancing impactful legislation that speaks to the future of our great country.
“In just two years in the Senate, you have distinguished yourself in lawmaking, Representation and oversight as one of the bright minds of the legislature, a team player, and a role model for the younger generation of leaders who seek inspiration and mentorship in selfless service and commitment to the common good.
“As you mark your birthday today, I join your family, friends, associates, and the Nasarawa West Senatorial District people in celebrating you. I wish you renewed strength, wisdom, and good health as you continue to serve our fatherland.
