Odeda LG Secretary, Oyekunle Adebayo, Emerges NACS National Vice Chairman, Vows to Champion Grassroots Development

The Secretary of Odeda Local Government in Ogun State, Hon. Oyekunle Adebayo has been elected as the National Vice Chairman (Southwest Region) of the Nigerian Association of Council Secretaries (NACS), pledging unrelenting service to local governments and grassroots development across the region.
In his acceptance remarks, Adebayo assured Council Secretaries in the 137 Local Governments across the Southwest, and indeed the 774 Local Governments in Nigeria, of his dedication to promoting community engagement, strengthening collaboration, and advancing policies that will improve local governance and citizens’ welfare.
“Our agenda is clear: we shall promote grassroots development and community engagement; foster collaboration and synergy among stakeholders in local government administration; advocate for policies and programs that benefit local governments and citizens; and enhance the capacity of local government officials through training and development programs,” he said.
Adebayo further pledged to work closely with the NACS National Chairman, Hon. Nankin Matthew Dafoum and other national executives to realize the association’s goals and drive meaningful reforms in local government administration.
While expressing gratitude to his colleagues for their confidence in him, the new Vice Chairman described his election as a call to service and invited all stakeholders to partner with NACS in building stronger local government institutions capable of delivering tangible development at the grassroots.
“I am committed to making a positive difference in my new role and ensuring that local governments truly become engines of progress in our communities,” Adebayo added.
