Mapelead Thrives as Premier Institute for Practical and Global-Standard Tech Training
While Africa possesses a wealth of ambitious and tech-savvy youth, a critical challenge persists: a lack of practical, career-focused training that meets global industry standards.
Mapelead is confronting this head-on. The institute is rapidly establishing itself as the premier destination for
aspiring tech professionals, bridging the divide between innate talent and the high-demand skills required to succeed on the world stage, with a special focus on the crucial field of cybersecurity.
At Mapelead, the philosophy is rooted in action. The institute provides an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to prepare students for real-world careers from day one.
By blending expert mentorship, practical assignments, and a vibrant community of peers, Mapelead
ensures that learning is not just about gaining knowledge; it’s about building a portfolio and the confidence to compete globally.
The results are a testament to this approach. Students who once doubted their ability to start a career in tech are now earning internationally recognized certifications, including ICITP, and are
actively securing internships, freelance contracts, and full-time positions.
This rapid career transformation is proof that with the right structure, support, and practical skills, African talent can compete on the world stage.
The Numbers Don’t Lie as we have: Cohort 1 (Jan-Mar 2024): 8 students, 3 job placements, 5 job promotions. “What’s truly nice about Mapelead is its focus on producing problem-solvers, not just certificate
holders. Graduates leave not only career-ready but also prepared to make a tangible difference
in protecting systems, data, and people in our increasingly connected world”, said Okorie Wisdom.
“When I started with Mapelead, I knew nothing about cybersecurity. But the coaches made complex topics easy to understand, and the hands-on practice gave me the confidence to apply
for jobs. Now, I have my first role, and it’s all thanks to the practical training and support Ireceived” said Emmanuella Gohar.
“Our vision is to become the launchpad for a new generation of African tech leaders” says Paschal Emelife, Founder of Mapelead.
“We don’t just teach; we empower our students to build careers that transcend borders and contribute to Africa’s digital transformation. Our focus on practical skills and global standards is our promise to our learners and to the future of the
continent.”
