Afrobeats Star Neyoog Drops Reflective Party Anthem “Sho Fo” Featuring Jamopyper
Rising Afrobeats sensation, Neyoog, born Omonojo Clinton, is making waves with his latest single Sho Fo, a bold new track that fuses party energy with a candid social message. The Lagos-bred artist, originally from Owo, Ondo State, studied Computer Science at Olabisi Onabanjo University and has steadily carved a niche with his spiritually-inclined, emotionally-resonant sound.
Known for his lyrical honesty and genre-bending creativity, Neyoog recently released the Toxic Man EP, a project that reveals his vulnerability and musical range. However, Sho Fo marks a shift in energy. “This masterpiece shows I can be a party vibe machine when the need arises, because most of my releases are more emotionally and calm compared to this,” he said.
The inspiration behind Sho Fo came from a spontaneous recording session. “Sho Fo is a sound that I love so much because the making was spontaneous and I had always prepared myself to be ready anywhere, any time,” Neyoog shared, noting the crucial role of collaborators. “Austyno plays a big part of it and Csharp co-produced it.”
The track features Jamopyper, a collaboration that came through producer Csharp. “I featured Jamopyper, he actually delivered excellently. Csharp spearheaded his inclusion and he didn’t disappoint,” he added.
At its core, Sho Fo explores the dynamics of modern relationships and the pressure to equate love with financial spending. “The message is just an everyday thing, where every girl you meet wants you to spend on them because that’s how they define love, and after spending, some are not fazed – which brought the question Sho Fo, simply translated in English: are you not amazed?” Neyoog explained. “Nigerian girls can be strict, even with your money. If they don’t want you, they don’t want you and that’s it.”
Speaking on the marketing approach, Neyoog revealed, “My marketing team handles that.” But his message to fans remains personal and direct: “Listeners and potential fans should enjoy the music and don’t go beyond their capacity to impress any girl or lady. If she is forming hard to get, then she is not interested. You move on. Don’t try to buy love with money.”
As Neyoog continues to evolve sonically, Sho Fo not only entertains but also challenges listeners to rethink love, value, and authenticity in today’s culture.
