In a statement from the National Assembly, Hon. Fatoba hailed Professor Yilwatda’s emergence as a reaffirmation of the APC’s readiness to chart a bold, reform-driven future anchored on integrity, inclusivity, and intellectual strength.

He praised the party’s leadership for the consensus that produced Yilwatda, noting that his pedigree as an academic, technocrat, and public servant equips him with the clarity and competence required to lead the APC through a period of necessary transformation.

Fatoba stated. “It signals a deliberate shift towards credible, value-driven leadership that can inspire confidence among Nigerians—especially the youth—and reposition our party as a beacon of national renewal.”

Hon. Fatoba further described the new APC Chairman as a man of sound intellect and strategic foresight whose experience in governance and education will help realign the party’s priorities and reconnect it with grassroots expectations.

He emphasized the need for party members across all levels to rally behind the new Chairman in the collective task of restoring the APC’s identity as a platform for progress, unity, and responsive governance.

“This is a call to duty for all true progressives. We must support Professor Yilwatda in reenergizing our structures, communicating our vision clearly to Nigerians, and ensuring that the APC remains a dynamic force for development and democracy,” Fatoba said.
