10,000 People Benefit from CLAM’s Free Medical Outreach in Lagos

A one-week free medical outreach ended in Lagos on yesterday with the Senior Pastor of the Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM), Pastor Wole Oladiyun, reiterating the commitment of the ministry to the alleviation of the suffering of Nigerians through timely interventions in the areas of free healthcare delivery and provision of welfare items.

Speaking at the end of the free medical intervention organised by CLAM in conjunction with the Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation, Pastor Oladiyun recalled that provision of welfare for both members and non-members of the ministry has been a cardinal point of its activities over the years, adding that CLAM has been consistently focused on playing its role effectively as a human development institution, not just a prayer ministry.

“What you are seeing here today is part of our DNA as a caring ministry; it is not new at all. Recall that during the COVID-19 epidemic when Nigerians were forced to stay at home and could not work to earn decent income, CLAM stepped in by providing palliatives in terms of food items to residents of the Ojodu neighbourhood.

“Also, at every crusade we organise in every part of Nigeria, we always distribute free welfare items such as food, clothes, shoes, etc., without collecting offerings from the people,” he disclosed.

He noted that it is the practice in CLAM not only to feed the people with the word of God, but also to support them with food and other welfare items, adding that the ministry’s annual welfare budget is well over N100 million, and this includes the various forms of assistance rendered to other ministries, community associations, NGOs, and individuals.

The one-week free medical outreach was hosted by CLAM Soteria Maternity and Hospital in conjunction with Onome Omobolaji Obada Foundation and ProHealth Foundation. It featured medical consultation, general and specialised surgeries, Ophthalmology, dental care, medications, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Laboratory. Over 10,000 people, including non-members of CLAM benefitted from the medical outreach.

The vision of CLAM (Christ Livingspring Apostlic Ministry) is “apostolic revival for global soul harvesting”. The ministry was founded on April 2, 1998 as a prayer and deliverance ministry to set the captives free and liberate the people. CLAM established the CLAM Soteria Maternity and Hospital in 2015 to provide world-class subsidised medical services to members of the society irrespective of their religious inclinations.
