Ajadi Rescue Movement Celebrates Founder’s Birthday with Inmates at Sokoto Correctional Facility
In a heartfelt show of compassion and solidarity, the Ajadi Rescue Movement, Sokoto State chapter, paid a special visit to the Sokoto State Correctional Facility on Sunday, July 20, 2025, as part of activities marking the 45th birthday anniversary of its founder, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo.
The visit, led by the State Coordinator, Hon. Aliyu Abubakar, underscored the movement’s commitment to social responsibility and the welfare of marginalized groups, particularly incarcerated individuals.
Speaking during the outreach, Hon. Abubakar said, “This visit is more than a symbolic gesture; it reflects the vision and compassion of our founder, Ambassador Ajadi, who believes that even behind bars, people deserve hope, dignity, and a second chance.”
He added that the initiative was in line with Ambassador Ajadi’s broader humanitarian values, which have been demonstrated through his consistent outreach to the underprivileged across Nigeria.
“Ambassador Ajadi’s leadership teaches us that nobody should be forgotten, especially those who have made mistakes but are seeking redemption. By coming here today, we want to remind these inmates that their current circumstances do not define their entire lives,” Abubakar stated.
During the visit, food items and essential supplies were distributed to the inmates as a gesture of goodwill. The delegation also engaged in light conversations with the facility’s management and expressed readiness to support rehabilitation programs aimed at helping inmates reintegrate into society after serving their sentences.
The visit was followed by a modest celebratory event held at a local event center in Sokoto, where a birthday cake was cut in honor of Ambassador Ajadi, a prominent chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Southwestern Nigeria and CEO of Bullion Go-Neat Global Ltd.
Members of the Sokoto State chapter of the movement who joined the event included executive officers and local government coordinators from Sokoto North, Sokoto South, Dange Shuni, Bodinga, Wurno, Kware, and Wamakko.
The Ajadi Rescue Movement, a grassroots socio-political and humanitarian platform, continues to expand its reach nationwide, promoting community service, social inclusion, and good governance.
“We are not just celebrating a birthday; we are celebrating a legacy of kindness and advocacy for justice and reform,” Hon. Abubakar reiterated.
