The prize money will be used to support their annual concert and charitable initiatives, including training for Catholic priests.

Amadi noted that their music is “music for the soul,” aimed at edifying and bringing peace to listeners.

The group’s charity-based approach to music demonstrates the positive impact that music can have on society.

Amadi said: “Our music, our intention, is, through our music, we want to edify the soul. We want to bring peace to people. We want people to have some form of comfort and consolation.”

The success of the ‘Easters Glory’ competition highlighted the power of music to bring people together and promote national unity.

Rev. Fr. Jude-mary Fidelis Owoh, the competition’s convener, emphasised the importance of using one’s talents for the greater good, saying: “There are a lot of people out there with talents, but they use it for the wrong reasons. Why not have them use it for the right reason, which is to praise God?”

Trinity Chorale’s win is expected to have a ripple effect on Nigeria’s cultural landscape, inspiring young musicians and promoting the country’s rich musical heritage. The group’s music, which focuses on sacred and moral themes, provides a much-needed respite from the noise and chaos that often characterises the music industry.

Owoh stated that as Nigeria continues to navigate its cultural and economic challenges, the success of ‘Easters Glory’ competition and Trinity Chorale’s win serve as a reminder of the transformative power of music and the importance of promoting excellence and positivity in the industry.”

He envisaged that the future of Nigeria’s music industry looks bright with talented groups like Trinity Chorale leading the way.

According to him, “As the industry continues to evolve, it is expected to play an increasingly important role in promoting national unity, cultural development, and economic growth. With events like ‘Easters Glory’ competition, Nigeria’s music industry is poised to reach new heights, inspiring a new generation of musicians and music lovers alike.”
