The Vibes DJ Academy & Studio, one of Africa’s most respected music education platforms, has announced the official launch of its United Kingdom operations. They revealed this via a Press statement earlier issued from London, United Kingdom to journalists. The Africa’s Premier DJ & Music Production Academy Expands Online to Serve a Global Audience.

The academy, which was formally registered in the UK under company number 16381456, now delivers premium online DJ and music production training to aspiring creatives across the globe.

Founded in Lagos, Nigeria, The Vibes DJ Academy began in 2018 as a creative music hub and evolved into a full-fledged institution by 2021. Since its inception, it has trained over 500 DJs and music producers across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, the UK, and beyond. Many
graduates have gone on to perform at major festivals, win national DJ competitions, release original music, and secure international bookings.

The newly launched UK branch operates from 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, and reflects the academy’s continued mission to empower the next generation of global music talent through accessible, culturally grounded, and forward-thinking education.

Global Online Programmes

The Vibes DJ Academy UK delivers live, interactive online training led by experienced professionals. Courses are structured for both beginners and experienced artists looking to
expand their craft.

DJ Performance courses cover both foundational and advanced techniques using Serato, Rekordbox, and USB-based setups. Students are trained in beat matchings, cueing, transitions,
and open-format mixing, with genre modules in Afrofusion, Afrohouse, Amapiano, House Music
and more.

A specialised Afrobeats DJ Mixing course equips students with the skills to master Afro-centric selections, tempo control, live remixing, and techniques that define the sound of global Afrobeats dance floors.

The Music Production programme includes in-depth instruction in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, and FL Studio. Students learn beat-making, arrangement, sound design, and remix structuring moving from beginner workflows to professional-level production techniques.

In addition to technical training, the academy offers Artist Development and Music Business sessions covering set design, branding, digital distribution, and monetisation strategies.

Each student receives an official certificate upon completion. Courses are customisable, with flexible schedules discussed during consultation.

The Vibes DJ Academy & Studio UK is co-founded by two internationally respected figures whose work continues to shape African and global DJ culture.

OnlyOneMassive (Ayodeji Adetiloye) is a UK-based Nigerian DJ, music producer, and educator with over 13 years of professional experience across Africa, Europe, and North America. He has trained more than 500 DJs and producers globally and currently serves as a senior tutor at London Sound Academy. In 2024, he was selected by Pioneer DJ to lead the global launch of the GRV6 controller—a landmark in modern DJ technology. He is widely recognised for his Afrohouse productions, remix projects, and mentorship initiatives that fuse
African traditions with contemporary electronic music.

DJ Consequence (Pelumi Precious Akeredolu) is a pioneering force in African nightlife and music culture. He is the founder of ZeroGravity Lagos, a growing cultural platform known for fusing premium entertainment with next-generation sound.

Known for his high-energy sets and
Deep genre fluency, DJ Consequence has performed alongside artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, and Mr Eazi, and headlined stages at Flytime Fest, Coke Studio, and Big Brother Naija. His studio catalogue includes mixtapes and original projects that have defined West African club culture. As co-founder of the UK academy, he brings curatorial depth, international performance experience, and a commitment to talent development.
