Bluesky Citadel Shines on UK Stage, Takes Nigerian-Led Tech Training Global

Bluesky Citadel, a UK-based tech training platform founded by Nigerian couple Deji and Patricia Emmanuel, has been awarded the UK Winner for Excellence in Learning and Development at the 2025 Digital Revolution Awards.

The win places the platform at the forefront of digital education innovation and sets the stage for its participation in the Global Digital Revolution Awards slated for June 19, 2025.

Founded in 2008 with just one learner, Bluesky Citadel has since grown into a global force, serving over 10,000 participants across the UK, Africa, North America, South America, and Asia.

The platform provides hands-on tech training, mentorship, internship placements, and interview preparation for aspiring professionals, many of whom are transitioning careers or entering the digital economy for the first time.

“This recognition means the world to us, not just for what we do, but for why we started,” said Founder, Deji Emmanuel, reflecting on the platform’s humble beginnings. Patricia Emmanuel, co-founder and fellow tech mentor, shared, “When they called Bluesky Citadel as the winner, there was a quiet pause between us—and then the emotion hit. It was humbling. It was God.”

The award category was fiercely competitive, with Bluesky Citadel standing out among industry heavyweights such as Capgemini, Version1, Devoteam, 4PS Construction Solutions, and BeSA.

Organized by Tenth Revolution Group and supported by major sponsors like Microsoft and NexxR, the awards celebrate excellence in digital learning, inclusion, and HR innovation.

For the Emmanuels, the award represents more than professional validation, it is a testament to the power of community, consistency, and purpose.
