UNIOSUN Provost, Management Team Seek Royal Support for College of Education

In a bid to foster stronger ties between the academia and traditional institutions, the Provost, College of Education, Osun State University, Professor Florence Adeoti Yusuf has solicited the support of His Royal Majesty, Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, the Alua of Erin-Oke. 

Yusuf, who led her management team on a courtesy visit to the monarch, said that the visit was aimed at soliciting his support for the growth and development of the college. 

The monarch commended the provost and her team for their efforts in advancing education in the state. Ayodeji promised to contribute to the college’s progress.  

“Education is the bedrock of societal development, and it is our collective responsibility to support institutions like the college of education to thrive,” stated Ayodeji.

The college management also commended His Royal Majesty, Oba Agunbiade Oke, the Ajalaye of Ipetu-Ijesa, for his unwavering support for the institution.

The team acknowledged Agunbiade’s promise to mobilise the sons and daughters of Ipetu-Ijesa to contribute meaningfully to the college’s advancement.

Yusuf led the management team, which included Dr. Jubril Fakokunde, HOD Science, Mathematics and Technology Education; Dr. Margret Faremi, HOD Educational Management; Dr. Rukayat Iwintolu, Sub-dean Students Affairs; Dr. Timothy Eebo, Coordinator Business Education; Dr. Peter Adewale, P.S Coordinator Environmental Education; Mr. David Ibironke, College Secretary; and Mr. Olugbenga Ologbenla, on the courtesy visit to Ayodeji.

Also present at the visit were chiefs from the ancient town, including High Chief Odoka of Erin Oke, Prince Olomola, Erin Oke youth leader, aka General, Hon. Fakorode Abiodun.
