Sulaiman-Ibrahim Thanks Arise TV for Recognition as One of the Women Making Impacts in Public Service

Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, has expressed appreciation to the management and staff of Arise TV led by Prince Nduka Obaigbena for the vision of showcasing the strength of women and their accomplishments.

She spoke at the colourful ceremony held at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre on Monday where 65 women were honoured. The event was graced by prominent Nigerian women who are making impacts in government, politics, business, finance and the creative economy.

The minister, who was represented by a philanthropist and founder of the Alafia Foundation, Mrs Olasumbo Odunsi, said, “It is truly a privilege to be recognized among the 65 Women Making Impacts in Arise category of politics and governance.

‘This honor is a reminder of the work we continue to do in advancing Women and children’s rights , protection, empowerment, and leadership.

“Together, we keep pushing for a more inclusive and equitable future.

”Congratulations to all the awardees. ”

Sulaiman Ibrahim also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and make meaningful impacts.

The Arise TV Board of Editors recognition of Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim was for her outstanding leadership in championing the cause of women, children and vulnerable groups.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim was hailed for redefining public service with her focus on gender equality and humanitarian governance, and for championing policies that are uplifting women and children.

The Board of Editors had noted that her approach, which is data driven and people focused, had ensured inclusion, and had continued to unite Nigerian women under a shared vision for change aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Other awardees include First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her advocacy for women’s empowerment; Dr Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as a trailblazer in global economic leadership; UN Deputy Secretary General, Dr Amina Mohammed, for championing sustainable development; Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Justice Kekere-Ekun; Presidential aide, Hadiza Bala Usman; Senator representing FCT, Seantor Ireti Kingibe; and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole.

Others are Minister of Arts and Culture, Hannatu Musawa; Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad; and Senator representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti, among others.
