Precious Dorti: Pioneering a New Era in Fintech, Sports, and Social Impact
By Emmanuel Anabueze
In a country brimming with potential, few young leaders are harnessing the power of innovation and purpose as effectively as Precious Dorti. At just 24, he is not only reshaping Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem but also championing youth empowerment and education through sports and philanthropy. As the Founder and CEO of Perrypays Services Limited, Dorti is pioneering a bold, people-focused model of entrepreneurship that blends profit with impact.
Redefining Fintech with Perrypays
Founded in 2019, Perrypays Services Ltd emerged from a simple but powerful vision: to make digital payments fast, safe, and accessible to everyone—especially underserved communities. Since its inception, the company has expanded rapidly, with fully functional offices now operating in Warri and Abuja.
Perrypays offers seamless financial services including bill payments, transfers, and airtime top-ups, targeting individuals, SMEs, and agents across Nigeria. The platform has grown into a trusted name in the fintech space, thanks to its focus on innovation, simplicity, and customer support.
“We built Perrypays to solve everyday problems,” says Dorti. “Our goal is to create financial systems that include everyone, not just the privileged.”
Empowering Dreams Through the Perrypays Superstars Cup
In 2025, Dorti took his mission a step further by launching the Perrypays Superstars Cup, a groundbreaking international football scouting tournament designed to connect grassroots talent in Nigeria with scouts and clubs from around the world. The event brings together raw, undiscovered footballers and gives them a platform to be seen, signed, and supported.
For Dorti, this initiative is more than a tournament—it’s a lifeline. “Football is one of the few global languages we all understand. We want to use it to change lives,” he explains.
The Perrypays Superstars Cup isn’t just about sport—it’s about opportunity, mentorship, and national pride.
Transforming Lives in Makoko Through Education
In collaboration with the Glow Foundation, Precious Dorti is also tackling one of Nigeria’s most pressing challenges: access to education. Together, they are building schools for underprivileged children in Makoko, Lagos—one of the most marginalized communities in West Africa.
With these schools, Dorti aims to provide children with more than just education. He’s creating safe spaces where hope and ambition can flourish. “Where you’re born should never determine how far you can go,” he says.
From Local Roots to National Recognition
Born on October 14, 2000, in Okere, Warri, Delta State, Precious Dorti’s rise has been fueled by vision and persistence. He studied Science Laboratory Technology (SLT) at Oghara Polytechnic, completing his OND in 2020. Before launching his business, he worked as a teacher at Lords & Kings Secondary School and also gained experience in digital media at Bman Digital Prints—roles that helped shape his entrepreneurial mindset.
Dorti’s humble beginnings continue to guide his approach. He often cites his background as the reason for his drive to empower others, especially young Nigerians who are rich in talent but limited in opportunity.
Voice of a Generation
In 2024, Dorti was a keynote speaker at the prestigious Impact Nigeria Event, where he addressed over 4,000 attendees on the power of entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusive growth. His message struck a chord with young leaders and aspiring founders across the country.
Today, he is recognized by top Nigerian news outlets as a thought leader in fintech and social innovation. His growing influence is also evident on social media, where he shares insights, milestones, and inspiration through his handle @culturefatherp.
The Road Ahead
From fintech to football to education, Precious Dorti is building more than businesses—he’s building bridges. Bridges to access. Bridges to opportunity. Bridges to a better Nigeria.
As his journey unfolds, one thing remains clear: Precious Dorti is not just participating in the future—he’s creating it.
