In a strategic move aimed at bolstering Governor Bassey Otu’s development agenda, Cross Riverians for Bassey Otu (CRBO) has formally installed Chief Peter Higgins as its Grand Patron.

The investiture ceremony, which took place at Chief Higgins’ Abuja office, was attended by CRBO’s National Coordinator, Obonganwan Gnarly Eyo, and other executive members.

Chief Higgins, a respected businessman and politician, pledged to leverage his expertise and network to support Governor Otu’s administration and promote the development of Cross River State.

“I am committed to working closely with CRBO to advance the interests of Cross River State,” Chief Higgins said. “We must unite to ensure the successful implementation of Governor Otu’s development agenda.”

The installation of Chief Higgins as Grand Patron is seen as a significant boost to CRBO’s efforts to promote Governor Otu’s policies and development agenda.

“Chief Higgins brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization,” Obonganwan Eyo said. “We are confident that his leadership and guidance will help us achieve our goals.”

CRBO is planning an official launch, which will feature a solidarity rally aimed at creating awareness of Governor Otu’s people-centered policies and achievements.

The rally, expected to draw participants from across the state, will provide an opportunity for Cross Riverians to demonstrate their support for Governor Otu’s administration.

With Chief Higgins on board, CRBO is poised to play a more significant role in promoting the development of Cross River State and supporting Governor Otu’s administration.

According to Obonganwan Eyo, CRBO’s mission is to showcase and celebrate Governor Otu’s remarkable achievements, bridging the gap between the elite and underprivileged while promoting inclusive governance.

“CRBO comprises members from across Nigeria and beyond, striving to foster unity and collaboration to elevate the state,” Eyo said. “We are committed to supporting Governor Otu’s administration and promoting the development of Cross River State.”

Chief Higgins emphasized the importance of power rotation in the state, noting that it is the South’s turn to govern following the completion of two-term tenures by the Central and Northern Senatorial District.

“I urge all well-meaning Cross Riverians to continue supporting Governor Otu’s administration,” Chief Higgins said. “We must work together to ensure the successful implementation of his development agenda and promote the growth and prosperity of our dear state.”

The installation of Chief Higgins as Grand Patron has been widely welcomed by stakeholders in Cross River State, who see it as a positive development that will help to promote unity and development in the state.

As CRBO continues to mobilise support for Governor Otu’s administration, the group is confident that with Chief Higgins on board, it will be able to achieve its goals and make a positive impact on the lives of Cross Riverians.
