Celebrity Nurse Esther Donates Sanitary Pads to Girls in 10 Secondary Schools Across Lagos
As part of her ongoing mission to promote menstrual health and hygiene among young girls, Celebrity Nurse Esther recently distributed sanitary pads to students in 10 secondary schools across Lagos State.
The initiative, aimed at tackling period poverty and stigma, reached hundreds of schoolgirls—many of whom lack consistent access to menstrual products and accurate health education.
“Menstruation is a normal part of life, and no girl should feel ashamed or unprepared because she lacks the resources,” said Esther Ijeoma Francis, the registered nurse and digital health educator behind the movement.
In addition to the donations, Esther also held short interactive sessions in the schools, educating students on menstrual hygiene, dispelling common myths, and encouraging open dialogue about bodily changes.
“This wasn’t just about giving out pads,” she said. “It was about restoring dignity, building confidence, and letting young girls know that they are seen, heard, and supported.”
Her efforts have been widely commended by parents, educators, and online followers, further cementing her place as one of the leading voices in women’s health advocacy in Nigeria.
