Gabriel Iruaga Drives 75% of Delta’s Tech Talent from Ethiope East
The Ethiope East Local Government Council in Delta State has formally recognized Mr. Gabriel Iruaga, Founder of Embold Lab Ltd, for his outstanding contributions to tech skills training and youth empowerment in the region.
In a letter of recognition signed by the secretary, the council highlighted that Gabriel’s initiatives have helped Ethiope East become the fastest-growing technology hub in Delta State, producing 75 per cent of the state’s emerging digital talent. His training programmes have also contributed to a 90 per cent increase in skilled professionals, the creation of new businesses, and greater visibility for local youths in the technology sector.
Hon. Ebojoh Ojeh Francis, Secretary to the Local Government, described Gabriel’s work as “a model for sustainable youth development” and noted that the council is proud to support initiatives that equip young people to compete globally in an increasingly digital economy.
Gabriel , who leads Embold Lab Ltd has been providing practical training in software development, digital product design, and entrepreneurship. Many participants in his programmes have gone on to secure jobs, launch their own businesses, or pursue further opportunities abroad.
Community leaders in Ethiope East said the recognition reflects the impact of local initiatives that are now placing the area on the technology map of Delta State and beyond. Officials added that his work aligns with the state government’s goal of developing a knowledge-driven economy and creating opportunities for young people to thrive.
The council further emphasized that Gabriel’s efforts are a benchmark for others and called for more partnerships to expand digital training programmes across the state, ensuring that more youths have the chance to build skills that meet global standards.
