Offset’s Femi-Isaac Olatunji Named ‘Tech PR Consultant of the Year’ at Prestigious Tech Innovation Awards 2023
Femi Isaac Olatunji, Lead Consultant of Offset Communications, has been named Tech PR Consultant of the Year at the 7th Tech Innovation Awards (TIA) 2023, marking a major milestone in African tech communications and reinforcing his role as one of the region’s foremost voices in digital innovation storytelling.
The Tech Innovation Awards, regarded as the most prestigious celebration of excellence in Africa’s ICT sector, honors individuals and companies pushing the boundaries of digital innovation and technology. This year’s theme, ‘Rewarding Excellence in Digital Innovation,’ spotlights the growing influence of tech across Africa’s economy and society.
Olatunji’s win comes just a year after founding Offset, a fast-rising Pan-African communications firm specializing in technology and fintech narratives. Since its launch in June 2022, Offset has delivered strategic communications for some of Africa’s leading tech brands, including:
● Qore, Africa’s only fully cloud-native core banking and integrated channel solutions provider—emerging from a historic carve-out from Appzone Group.
● Kora, a leading pan-African payment infrastructure company.
● Africa Soft Power Group, a key voice in Africa’s creative and innovation economy.
Speaking on his recognition, Olatunji said:
“This award is a testament to the power of bold, strategic, and data-driven storytelling. Africa’s tech ecosystem is rising, and our role at Offset is to help brands own their narratives, engage global markets, and drive transformative conversations.”
He also cited his early PR experience working on high-profile crisis and innovation campaigns for global brands such as MTN and Visa, including the landmark launch of Visa’s first Innovation Studio in Nairobi.
“These experiences shaped my philosophy: data-backed storytelling and innovation-driven narratives will define the next decade of African PR,” he added.
Olatunji’s win not only cements his thought leadership in Africa’s tech PR space but also signals a shift toward more specialized, insight-driven communications across the continent. He is committed to empowering African tech brands for global relevance and mentoring the next generation of African PR professionals.
InstinctWave CEO Akin Naphtal praised this year’s winners, noting:
“TIA is more than an award; it’s a platform for networking, idea-sharing, and celebrating those who drive Africa’s digital future.”
The awards also recognized IHS Towers, Medallion Datacentre, Huawei, and Avanti Communications, highlighting Africa’s growing global technology footprint.
With this win, Olatunji and Offset continue to position themselves as the go-to advisors for tech-driven organizations seeking communications leadership in Africa.
