RCCG: SOP Raises Funds for Orphanages at OmoBaba Experience

It was a defining moment for participants at the 2023 edition of the OmoBaba Experience,” in Lagos.

Serenading the audience with soulful music while raising funds for orphanages was the thrust of the day.

The concert, steered by the Spirit of Prophecy Musical Band, a dynamic music band and worship ministry of the RCCG Living Seed Church, raised funds for orphanages while entertaining people.

Composed of exceptionally gifted music ministers, The Spirit of Prophecy (SOP) firmly believes in the transformative power of music as a gateway to God’s presence.

With their groundbreaking debut song, ‘Omo Baba,’ and their second single, ‘Glory To The King’ (G2DK), the band showcased exceptional talent.

It also enthralled the audience with soul-stirring melodies that had everyone joyfully dancing to the beats.

For many, Omobaba, which is global now, is life-changing. These were the words of the church’s lead pastor, Adeola Abolaji.

He also expressed that Omobaba Experience results from the mandate to reach out to the less privileged, raise funds and spread awareness for orphanages and other charitable endeavours.

“This concert serves as an avenue for individuals to contribute their quota in making a difference in the lives of those in need.”

According to Leke Adeboye, a pastor, this concert is an excellent alternative many young people have sought.

“I am happy. It’s been long overdue. I am looking forward to many more things from the Spirit of Prophecy.

“Omobaba Experience is actually for Omo baba fun awon omo ti koni baba (An Experience for the fatherless).”

For Adeboye, this experience aims to cater to all who need a father’s presence.

He went on to describe the experience as allowing them to feel at home, where they can feel genuine love.

“All proceeds generated from the concert will go to orphanages,” says Adeboye.

Meanwhile, the OmoBaba Experience featured a lineup of esteemed gospel artistes, comedians, and a skilful DJ.

Others were Beejay Sax, Emma oh my God, Gaise Baba, Mike Abdul, DJ Ofure, Moromooluwatiketike, Damola is my name, Pastor Daniel Olawande, Arole, Comedian Bleach, and many others.

These arrays of performers created an electrifying ambience that resonated with the audience and reverberated throughout the hall.

In 2023, Spirit of Prophecy embarked on an exhilarating journey with awe-inspiring live recordings.

Their “Amapiano Praise” session set hearts ablaze with vibrant praise infused with an amapiano sound.

There was a captivating “Morning Devotion/Amapiano Praise”, which deepened the spiritual connection in May.
