Adeboye, Ambode, Duke Encourage Women to be Supportive
The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Mrs. Folu Adeboye, has encouraged women to be prayerful, humble, and supportive of their husbands in this economy.
She remarked on this at the All Sisters Conference organised by RCCG, region 31, Anointed Family Parish Lagos, themed Carrier of His Power.
While urging Christian women not to drag the name of Christ into the mud, Adeboye said, “We are in a trying time in our nation. Women should be content.
“The suffering of today will birth the blessings of tomorrow.”
She dissuaded them further from dragging the Lord’s name into the mud by engaging in ungodly ventures to survive.
On her part, the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Bello, urged women to see themselves as carriers of God’s power.
Bello added: “Wherever you are hidden, you will be noticed. I urged participants of this conference to key into all they’ve learned.”
Commending the organisers of the conference, the wife of the former Governor of Lagos, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, highlighted that the theme speaks to the mood of the nation today.
She urged Christian women to embrace “humility, give sacrificially and pray fervently.”
On her part, the wife of the former Governor of Cross Rivers state, Mrs. Onari Duke encouraged participants to have mentors.
In her words: “What makes most women give up on business is what some of these mentors had gone through before.
“Challenges in life are inevitable,” she admitted. “So if all hands should be on deck, these women would succeed and mentor others.”
