Domak Group International (DGI) has announced its commitment to empower over 35,000 students and youths at its upcoming summit.
The Domak Entrepreneurship Summit (DES) 2023, in collaboration with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), aims to provide Nigerian students with essential skills and resources for their future success.
During a press conference held in Abuja, the Chairman/President of DGI Dr. Kingsley Azonobi, emphasized the summit’s objective of addressing the pressing challenges faced by students in Nigeria.
He highlighted the need to give students a voice in governance to combat underdevelopment and poverty, as 70% of the country’s population consists of students and youth.
He said, “ The DES 2023 will focus on training, empowerment, and mentorship, providing participants with opportunities to learn from accomplished individuals in various fields. The summit aims to ignite excitement and enthusiasm among the expected 35,000 students from Nigeria and the diaspora.
“ To incentivize performance, a competition will be held during the summit, where 100 students will have the chance to win a cash prize of N1,000,000 each. It is an opportunity for Nigerian students to secure their future by investing their skills, time, and energy into acquiring the most valuable asset today—land.” he said.
Renowned Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, King Tonto W.C. Dikeh, expressed her support for the DES 2023, recognizing it as a means to empower Nigerian students.
Dikeh commended Dr. Azonobi’s passion and dedication in organizing the summit, emphasizing the importance of changing the post-graduation narrative for Nigerian students, who often face unemployment and dashed dreams.
Dikeh stressed the need for empowering students while they are still in school, enabling them to become valuable assets to themselves and society upon graduation.
She encouraged all Nigerian students to register and actively participate in the DES 2023, as the summit’s offerings would provide lifelong benefits.
Dikeh called upon well-meaning Nigerians to support and endorse the program, recognizing its potential to create economic and social value for the youth.
With the endorsement from King Tonto W.C. Dikeh, the DES 2023, scheduled for August 1st and 2nd in Abuja, is expected to attract a significant number of attendees, offering a platform for networking, learning, and creating opportunities for the Nigerian youth.
