Free Career, Skills Development in Tech-infused Fashion Workshop Opens doors for Students

A free, one-day career and skills development workshop is being offered to secondary school students, designed to inspire young people to explore technology and fashion design as practical, future-focused career pathways.
The workshop, proposed for students of secondary institutions, is built around the belief that technology and creative industries are no longer optional extras but powerful tools for innovation, self-reliance, and global relevance. Rather than treating fashion design and digital skills as distant or elite pursuits, the initiative brings these opportunities directly into the school environment, at no cost to students or their families.
Stanley Ugwubujoh, Co-founder of Noblex Initiative, framed the thinking plainly: “We have to show them where the industry is coming from, where it is now, and where it is heading, so that the future does not take them by surprise.”
The session is designed to be interactive, age-appropriate, and motivational. It combines real-life examples, practical insights, and career guidance tailored specifically to secondary school students. Stanley Ugwubujoh notes that key focus areas include digital design tools, creative thinking, entrepreneurship, and the growing intersection of technology with fashion.
A central thread running through the workshop is early awareness. Students are encouraged to see the devices they already carry as tools for creative and economic output, not merely for entertainment. The goal is to ignite ambition, confidence, and a sense of purpose before young people reach the crossroads of career decision-making.
Ugonne Chukwu, Principal of Olive Grove College, described the impact simply: “A very impactful programme that offers students a viable career path enhanced by technology.”
One student who attended a related session echoed that sentiment: “It is very interesting. I learned a lot about how technology can help one make a living out of fashion designing. I love it!”
The Noblex Initiative hopes that institutions will see the workshop as a natural extension of their commitment to holistic education and future readiness, an opportunity to expose students early to careers that can change personal circumstances and reshape broader societal narratives.
Schools interested in hosting the workshop are invited to make contact to discuss scheduling and how the content can be tailored to their students’ needs.
