Firms Forge Partnerships to Strengthen Fight against Hunger

Food & beverage brand, Rite Foods Limited in partnership with Food Meets Naija Initiative has resolved to end hunger in the country.

The partnership saw Rite Foods sponsored ‘Charity With Food’ (CWF 2021), an initiative of Food Meets Naija which saw no fewer than 1000 children fed in Lagos, spiced with a novelty match put together to kick out hunger.

Themed ‘The Race to Curb the Menace of Malnutrition and Hunger amongst Hard-to-Reach Children in Nigeria’, the CWF 2021 edition aimed to curb the menace of hunger and malnutrition amongst children in Nigeria.

Commenting, Asst. Brand Manager, Beverage and Bakery, Rite Foods Limited,Boluwatife Adedugbe stated that CWF initiative aligned with the company’s commitment to enhance food security.

She averred that the challenge of hunger is a collective responsibility that required all sectors participation, while she reassured of the company’s readiness to commit to purpose that served similar purpose.

She said, “The need to eliminate hunger from the society is paramount to all and we believe that our contribution is vital to the success in the fight and victory against hunger, malnutrition and food insecurity in Nigeria.”

She added that the company’s sponsorship of the initiative further demonstrate its commitment to attaining the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda of zero hunger, by giving back to the community, while operating on the highest world standards on the continent.

Other highlights of the event included: empowerment programme, networking and celebrity meet and greet, amongst others.
