High-rise Building Collapse: Death Toll Rises to 36

Death toll of the 21-storey building which collapsed Monday on Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, has increased to 36.

This was revealed Thursday by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye.

According to him, “A total of 36 bodies has now bee recovered from the collapse, comprising 33 males and three females.”

He also revealed that there were nine survivors, consisting of one female and eight males.
