Buhari Appoints Abubakar as New CMD FMC Bida

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Dr. Usman Abubakar as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Bida, Niger State.
He replaces Dr. Mohammed Aminu-Usman, whose appointment lapsed on September 14, 2021.
The appointment of Usman Abubakar was contained in a letter signed by the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Senator Adeleke Olurunnimbe-Mamora, which was made available to journalists in Minna yesterday.
The appointment which took effect from September 14, 2021, is for an initial period of four years.
Until his appointment, the new CMD was the acting medical director and head of clinical services and training of the centre.
President Buhari congratulated the new CMD, and urged him to work hard to ensure that the hospital is positioned to provide quality health care services to the people.
“It is expected that you will not only work hard to ensure that the hospital continues to provide quality health care, but endeavour to improve on the achievements and leave your mark on the institution
“I also urge you to justify the confidence reposed in you by this appointment, and work with all stakeholders for industrial peace and harmony in support of the president’s ‘Next Level Agenda’,” he added.
Abubakar is from Kutigi in the Lavun Local Government Area of Niger State.
The new CMD expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the appointment, saying he would do everything humanly possible to lift the standard of health care delivery services at the centre.
