CPs, Others Hail IGP’s Leadership Quality

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, has been rated high by senior police officers and rank and file for his performance.

Assessing his performance since he came on board, the senior police officers described him as “a true and sincere leader.”

Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Hakeem Odumosu, said the IG is “a true father”, adding, “He has a genuine mission to make the people’s police. He does not listen to gossip and that is why he is succeeding. He handles issues relating to staff with maturity and with fatherly attention. There is no doubt that his tenure will be one of the best.”

Also speaking, Delta CP, Ari Mohammed Ali, said IGP Alkali “is no doubt a father. He handles issues with maturity and with fatherly attention. He does not harass or intimidate officers, rather he corrects officers with humility. He is a very humble officer. I am learning from him. He also takes the welfare of officers very seriously. In the area of operation, he is very proactive.

We are enjoying his regime.”

In the same vein, Oyo State CP Ngozi Onadeko, said:” That the IGP has introduced several innovations into the Force. He brought a human face into the police. He handles issues with maturity without harassing officers. He is a father.”

Similarly, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Admin) Lagos State Police Command, DCP Bassey Ewa described him as a father.

“He is a father who handles issues relating to officers with a fatherly method. And when you have such a leader you will be encouraged to put in your best.”
