Nigerian Entrepreneur Launches CredVerify to Tackle Fraud, Strengthen Credit Access

Nigerian tech entrepreneur Chidozie Felicitas Chiamaka has officially launched CredVerify, a new digital platform that promises to reshape how credentials and creditworthiness are validated across Africa.

The platform comes at a time when businesses, schools, and financial institutions are struggling with the rising challenges of fake qualifications, unverifiable employment histories, and limited credit data. CredVerify provides a one-stop solution for credentials verification and credit scoring, using technology-driven checks and AI-powered analytics to deliver trusted results.

Speaking at the launch in Lagos, Chidozie said the motivation behind CredVerify was both personal and systemic:

“In today’s world, credibility determines opportunity. Too many people are denied jobs or financial access simply because their records can’t be verified quickly or fairly. CredVerify is here to change that to give employers, universities, and lenders confidence in their decisions while giving individuals the credibility they deserve.”

Unlike traditional methods that are often slow and prone to manipulation, CredVerify offers a digital-first process that allows institutions to verify academic records, professional certifications, and employment history in real time. The platform also generates credit scores to help banks and microfinance institutions extend loans to individuals who might otherwise be excluded from the financial system.

Industry analysts say the solution could play a key role in improving trust, accountability, and financial inclusion across the continent.

With the launch of CredVerify, Nigeria joins a global movement of startups using technology to solve systemic trust issues and open doors to new opportunities.
