Between Olu Okeowo and Niyi Adebayo

Can you hazard a guess about the depth of the friendship between Nigeria’s businessman, Olu Okeowo and a former Ekiti State Governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo?

This seems to be the puzzle that the boss of Gibraltar solved, last Sunday, when he played host to Adebayo, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at his Okeowo de Palacious, Parkview, Ikoyi, Lagos home. It was in celebration of the former Ekiti State governor who turned 60 in a blaze of glory recently.

The property merchant told his guests at the dinner that their friendship dates back to over 30 years, adding that it had stood the test of time.

The billionaire, it was also gathered, serenaded the guests with the tale of his long-standing relationship with Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who was full of smiles and appreciation for the gesture.

The dinner was attended by dignitaries, top government functionaries, business tycoons and socialites, including a former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba; Herbert Wigwe, Managing Director, Access Bank Plc.; Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, a former Managing Director, Access Bank Plc; Alhaji Razak Okoya and his wife, Sade and Chief Samuel Adedoyin, among others.
