Andrew Amaechi gets appointed as Special Adviser on International Trade and Diplomacy

Andrew Onyekachi Amaechi, 34, has been appointed as the Special Adviser on International Trade and Diplomacy to the President of the Abuja Chambers of Commerce and Industry. With a recent completion of his Masters degree in diplomacy, trade, and global politics from Loughborough University London, Andrew brings a wealth of academic prowess to his new role. His educational background also includes a professional certificate in entrepreneurship in emerging economies from Harvard University, Business, International Relations and Political Economy from King’s College, a Diploma in International Business Management from the International Business Management Institute Berlin, and a degree in criminology and security studies.

Notably, Andrew is a Mo Ibrahim Fellow of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and a member of the Institute of Diplomacy and International Governance in the UK, underscoring his dedication to international relations and diplomacy.

His previous roles as a former Youth Envoy for the AU and Legislative Aide to the former Deputy Senate President have equipped him with invaluable experience in Global South developments, sustainability, International Negotiations, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues. These experiences position him as an asset to the Chambers, where his expertise will be instrumental in fostering international trade relations and navigating diplomatic channels effectively
