With time running out and a life-saving surgery hanging in the balance, ‘Saving Onome’ explores the depths of love, family and the extraordinary measures people take to save those they love.

With a screenplay from exciting newcomer Janobest Issac, produced by Chinaza Onuzo and Zulumoke Oyibo, ‘Saving Onome’ promises excellent displays from the cast, including veterans Keppy Ekpeyong, Femi Jacobs, Ashionye Michelle Raccah, alongside actors Mary Lazarus, Kelechi Udegbe, Nosa Rex and Nasboi.

Speaking on the movie, his first outing with the Inkblot powerhouse, the celebrated Dimeji Ajibola (Shanty Town), describes it as ambitious story. “I am extremely proud of Saving Onome because it was an ambitious story that allowed me to explore strong themes of family and love whilst working in the thriller vein I am known for.”

“Saving Onome showcases Inkblot’s continued desire to bring thrilling, relatable films to our Nigerian audience. We believe strongly in telling stories that resonate widely,” said Chinaza Onuzo, who remains optimistic that quality Nigerian films with universal appeal will continue to find a local and global audience.

“Saving Onome stands out as one of our more ambitious projects. We’re so grateful to the director and the amazing cast and crew for bringing this story to life.  It’s a classic story with a fresh African perspective, reflecting today’s blurred lines between heroes and villains and the choices that define them. We’re looking forward to the spirited debates following its release in cinemas nationwide from April 5th 2023,” Onuzo added.
