Abdullahi Re-elected as President of Nigeria Archery Federation 

Mohammed Baba Abdullahi  has been re-elected as President of the Nigeria Archery Federation. He is to pilot the affairs of the  Federation for the next four years.

The election  climaxed the 2024 NAFED Elective Congress held on March 2, 2024 in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. 

Abdullahi was elected with 16 votes. His challenger for the top job, Mr. Emmanuel Oyeleke got only 1 vote. Engr. Augustine Chigbolu emerged as the 1st Vice President with 16 votes. He defeated  Mr. Kachollom Enyenihi who  scored only 1 vote.

Other elected Exco board members include;   2nd Vice President, Mr. Oladipo  Ogundele who pulled 17 votes to defeat DSP Akogun A.A.

Mr. Philip Olupomile emerged as the new Secretary General with  17 votes to displace  the former Secretary,  Mr. Olugbenga  Boluji  who pulled no vote.

Goodman Akwu Umar was elected as Assistant Secretary while Mr. Patrick Ibeh was re-elected as the Public Relations Officer.  Mr Rabiu Mohammed was voted unopposed as treasurer.

Other new members of the board include; Mr. Aliyu  Abubakar Garga( Athletes rep); Alh. Ibrahim Adamu ( NorthWest rep); DCP Hassan Gwani (North East rep), HRH. Dr. David Tukur; Mr. Andy Gabriel ( North Central rep); HRM. Asibelua Ugo JP (South South rep); Oladipo Ogunleye ( South West rep); Dr.Ogbonna Onyeisi; Dr. Jerry Onuegbu and MS Stella (South East rep).

The election was supervised by the Nigeria Olympic Committee and the Federal Miinistry of Sports Development
