Netflix Celebrates Nigerian Female Creatives, Unveils New Titles

In celebration of International Women’s Day, globally marked on March 8, leading global streamer Netflix in collaboration with Mo Abudu, honoured female creatives in the Nigerian film and TV industry. The event titled ‘Her Voice, Our Story,’ took place at EbonyLife Place, Victoria Island, Lagos had notable names in Nollywood including Bolanle Austen-Peters,  Chinenye ‘Chichi’ Nworah, and Peace Hyde, in attendance. 

Aimed at celebrating and honouring inspiring women in front of and behind the camera and the diverse storytelling by women and about women, the streamer shared a diverse slate of upcoming films and series. This includes Abudu’s series ‘Òlòtūré: The Journey,’ and ‘Baby Farm,’ Hamisha Daryani Ahuja’s ‘Postcards,’  Austen-Peters’ ‘House of Ga’a,’ and Kemi Adetiba’s ‘To Kill a Monkey.’
