Advocates for Health and Rights of Women and Youths Initiative (ADHERi) has Unveiled Dynamic Leadership as they signed a partnership with Alliance Française and NYFF to host a women’s conference in March 2024, in Lagos.


ADHERI, a trailblazing organisation committed to empowering women and youth, is announcing the formation of its distinguished Board of Trustees and the inauguration of the groundbreaking Women-Led Youth Advisory Board. These visionary leaders are poised to drive transformative change in our community through innovative projects and programmes.


The Board of Trustees comprises accomplished individuals from diverse backgrounds, each bringing unique expertise and unwavering commitment to ADHERI’s mission.


Speaking in their office in Lagos, the Executive Director, Emmanuel Etim, made it clear that this is a strategic move to impact the communities they serve across Nigeria stating that their collective wisdom will guide the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of championing health, rights, and empowerment for organisation and vulnerable persons within our society.


He also mentioned the opportunity to work with The British Council last year for two projects in which Dr. (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, First Lady of Lagos State was the keynote speaker and even recently, a major milestone with the partnership of Alliance Francaise and the support of Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) to host the women’s conference for 2024 and also work together in advocating for a more inclusive society for women, youth and PWD’s in Nigeria. Etim noted that the date for the conference is 8th March 2024, 10:30 am at Alliance Française de Lagos with over 10 speakers with highlights like Sip and Paint, Arts therapy, games, and Networking opportunities for women, youth and PWDs.
The speakers for the conference include: Toyin Ndidi Taiwo-Ojo, Chinonso Clark, Eduvielawhe Olutimayin, Laura Temituoyo Ede, Ngozi Juba, Emerald Emmanuel, Omoye Oriaghan, Victoria Oletu, Oluwadolap Ojo, Dr. Charles Egbuokporo and a host of others.


Etim also mentioned the names of the Board of Trustees which are: Umanta Ude Umanta, Melody Adaeze Otutuloro, Nnenna Okoli, Emmanuel Etim, and the newly unveiled Women-led Youth Advisory Board to champion the voices of young people, ensuring their active participation in shaping ADHERi’s initiatives are, Omoye Oriaghan, Emerald Emmanuel, Oluwadolapo Ojo, Victoria Oletu, and Dr. Charles Egbuokporo.


“We are a women and youth-led organisation operating by feminist leadership principles, alleviating the issues of youth who are vulnerable minority persons in our society, with a major focus on advocacy to end stigma, human rights violation, gender-based violence, substance misuse, and climate change effects on women and youths, which are SDGs 1,3,5, 10, and 13. We are committed to launching life-transforming projects and programmes that address critical health and rights issues faced by women, youth, and PWDs”, he added.
