The entertainment and creative industry in Africa is experiencing exponential growth, with data from PwC’s Entertainment and Media Outlook indicating a projected doubling of revenue by 2026. Additionally, UNESCO reports highlight the industry’s crucial role in job creation, wealth generation, and economic diversification across the African continent.

“EWL is a catalyst for empowering Nigeria’s creative economy. This is in line with the presidency’s mandate to cultivate this sector, generating employment opportunities, fostering innovation, and amplifying Nigerian artistic expressions on both local and global stages,” adds Musawa.

Themed ‘The Next Wave,’ EWL 2023 boasts a transformative agenda, spotlighting AI’s impact in the creative sphere, empowering independent artists, and delving into the evolving content consumption patterns in film and television.

The entertainment convergence will be held from December 13 to 20, 2023, at the Livespot Entertarium in Lagos.
