INEC Declares PDP’s Diri Winner of Bayelsa Guber Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the winner of November 11, 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.

Diri scored 175,196 to defeat his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timipre Sylva, who polled 110,308 votes.
