Eid-El-Kabir: Oluremi Tinubu, Nana Shettima Excite FCT Traditional Rulers, IDPs with Sallah Gifts

Wife of the President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and the wife of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Shettima have demonstrated love and compassion for Muslim faithful in the Federal Capital Territory with donations of different items to enable them celebrate the Sallah festival.

Represented by the National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Betta Edu, who was accompanied by the Federal Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, the First Lady called for love, peace, unity and tolerance among Nigerians as they celebrate Eid-el Kabir with traditional rulers and thousands in the IDP camps around Abuja and some communities.

In her remark, the Women Leader extended the felicitations of the first lady to the Emirs in Council as she prayed that the blessings of Allah fill their lives with peace, joy, prosperity, happiness and good health.

Some of the Sallah gifts shared were bags of rice, rams and wrappers as the women leader conveyed a message of renewed hope, noting that President Bola Tinubu is committed to delivering on his campaign promises to Nigerians through the renewed hope agenda.

The traditional rulers in their various responses expressed their ultimate joy and happiness for the kind gesture of the First Lady, noting that in the history of Nigeria they have never seen or heard of such generous gesture, especially coming from the unique channel of the First Lady and wife of the Vice President.

They appealed well-meaning Nigerians to support the administration of President Tinubu, who is poised to reposition Nigerian economy for a safe and better standard of living.

The Emirs equally urged all citizens irrespective of tribe, ethnicity and religion to maintain peace and order and prayed for the success of President Tinubu administration.

Emirs of Jiwa, Alhaji Idris Musa and Emir of Bwari, Awwal Ijakoro, expressed satisfaction with the kick off of the administration, noting that Nigerians have started experiencing breathe of fresh air.

Cans of honey were sent to the First lady as symbols that the administration of President Tinubu would be sweet and that the Nigeria of their dreams would be realised.

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Kuchingoro FCT Abuja and 10 other camps also benefited from the ddonated food items.

The Federal Commissioner of the Refugee Commission who was at the camps also appreciated and thanked the First Lady for the kind gesture.
