Transport 360° Walks for Fitness

A non-governmental organisation, Transsafe 360 Degree Global Initiative aka Transport 360, will on December 25 hold a fitness walk to commemorate the end of the year 2017.

The spokesperson of the forum, who doubles as the Chairman of the Technical Committee, Alhaji Jimba Ganiu, stated that the walk will commence at 8.00am from Idi-Iroko Bus stop along Ikorodu Road, enroute Anthony bus stop to finally terminate at LASTMA headquarters on Apapa-Oshodi Expressway.

The non-profit making organisation had in the past organised several advocacy programmes and talks on transport and transport related issues within and outside the State.

Notable among its past activities is an advocacy programme for all the public primary schools in Lagos state in partner FRSC, LASTMA, VIS and the Nigeria Police. The programme aimed to target pupils of school age on the usage of roads and transport media.

Also, Operation free flow of traffic had been implemented at major bus stops in Lagos. Notable among the bus stops where such programme had taken place include Ikotun, Jakande Gate, Ikeja along, Ejigbo and Mushin. The walk for fitness is open to all and sundry, the spokesperson stated.
