The management of Enyimba Football Club has expressed delight at the appointment of LMC boss and NFF 2nd Vice President, Shehu Dikko, into the ranks of world football’s governing body FIFA.
The seasoned administrator has been appointed a member of the FIFA Football Stakeholders Committee, an action that Chairman of Enyimba, Chief Felix Anyansi Agwu, describes as a fitting acknowledgment of Dikko’s achievements and a testament to the quality of the present leadership of Nigerian football.
Also, Vice Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ has been appointed into the Technical and Development Committee at CAF and Anyansi Agwu warmly congratulates both men – both of whom he has worked closely with over the years.
“I congratulate them sincerely. It’s a historic achievement for Nigerian football and I am convinced of their abilities to carry out the functions and offices to which they have been appointed because they are astute leaders.”
He also praised the visionary leadership of NFF President Amaju Pinnick, under whom Nigerian football has attained a greater relevance than ever before.
“Using his office, the NFF president has opened numerous doors for Nigerian football administrators in the global community,” Anyansi said. “His efforts in this regard have been invaluable and I convey my deeply felt gratitude for all he is doing for our football.”
