ON RAYMOND DOKPESI’S 66TH BIRTHDAY IN ABUJA

But everybody knows what Chief Raymond Dokpesi, the chairman of AIT, thinks of attaining such a milestone. He clocked 66 last Thursday. And he has cause to be thankful to God on clocking the wisdom years, hence his unparalleled joy.

But contrary to expectations that he would celebrate with pomp and ceremony, Raymond, opted for a low-key celebration. The respectable media guru, it was learnt, prefers to spend his hard-earned money on the less privileged and downtrodden than to squander it on such trivial events like a birthday party. His philanthropic gestures have brought succour to many. To celebrate him, his friends and associates gathered at his Hiltop Residence to celebrate his birthday. The leader of the league of friends, Sen. Yisa Braimoh, said “today we have been blessed to witness this very special day to celebrate his 66th birthday”. A birthday card was later presented to him which was signed by all members of his campaign organisation as a birthday present.

Dokpesi thanked them and expressed his profound gratitude saying “I cannot have a better presence than the presence of all of you I am seeing here, am deeply grateful for the sacrifices you are making. Although we may have our differences in trying to attain certain goals but the goals are common. A lot of people have said that Nigeria is not matured but I completely disagree”.
