Determined to empower, coach and mentor Small and Medium Enterprises in Lagos State, on how to leverage their businesses on Digital Marketing, Adeyinka Igbinoba, Chief Executive Officer of AIG Media Pro, a digital marketing company recently held a digital marketing training in conjunction with Keshab Properties at Lekki where several SMEs were in attendance. During the training, Igbinoba engaged a number of SMEs and presented to them a practical digital marketing approach to business in general, which will help them establish relevant foundation for growth.

Igbinoba who said AIG Media Pro provides quality services to existing and prospective clients, delivering top notch expertise with experiences gathered over the years, added, ”We are a proven and successful social media and digital marketing firm with expertise in project life cycles, planning, strategising, monitoring, controlling and executing all social media and digital marketing projects, delivering value and delighting clients and stakeholders.”

As a leading global digital marketing coach, she said her company’s priority is to ensure that its courses are designed to effectively help organisations that are going through digital transformation, stressing that small and medium scale enterprise (SMEs) have played and will continue to play a remarkable role in the growth, development and industrialisation of many economies in the world.

She noted however that in Nigeria, SMEs have performed below expectations due to a combination of factors which ranges from the attitude and habits of SMEs themselves through economic related factors, inconsistency in the policy of government, and somersaults. “We discovered that year-in year-out, government at all levels through budgetary allocations, policies and pronouncements have signified interest and acknowledged the crucial role SMEs play in the sub-sector of the economy. Hence, they have made policies for energising the sector. In spite of the enormous effort put in by the government through various programmes and policies to revive and establish a relevant foundation for SMEs in Nigeria, there has yet been no substantial improvement realised from sector and this is basically because of lack of knowledge of application on so many tools at their disposal which for a long time now has remained grossly under deployed.” She stressed further that no matter the input of the government in the SMEs sector, without the use of digital marketing it will be another effort in futility, adding, “The world is changing digitally, so should businesses that wish to move with the tides.

It will be worthy to note here that, many businesses are reaping the benefits of digital marketing leveraging advantages that traditional marketing strategies simply can’t offer. Thanks to digital marketing, businesses can now have a bigger impact on the way consumers interact with their brands online.

Igbinoba noted further that digital marketing benefits allow businesses to evolve their marketing plans and stay competitive in the industry. She therefore called on all SMEs to deploy digital marketing tool in enhancing their various businesses, thereby encouraging the government to look towards the direction of empowering SMEs. She explained that the plan is to coach, train and mentor 50 youths on a monthly basis on how to be independent of families, friends, and government by simply learning to use digital marketing techniques in resolving their wants in all facets of life.
