The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received another petition for the recall of Hon. Abubakar Galadima Kuki, a member representing Bebeji Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, from his constituents.
In a statement issued by the Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Adedeji S. Soyebi, said petition from legislators constituents was submitted last Friday.
The commission had recently received a similar petition from some electorate in Kogi West senatorial district seeking to recall Senator Dino Melaye.
The INEC statement said: “In accordance with the INEC Guidelines for Recall, the commission has formally acknowledged the receipt of the petition to the petitioners’ representatives and has written to inform Kuki of the presentation of the petition.
“A timetable and schedule of activities pursuant to the petition will be issued shortly,†he said.
