Crisis Rocks Niger State Chapter of PDM

The Peoples Democratic Movement PDM in Niger state is now embroiled in crisis leading to the sack of the state secretary of the party, Alhaji Adamu Musa Nasko, who has declared his removal from office as a ‘huge joke’ .

The National Working Committee of the party, which investigated the various allegations levelled against Adamu Musa Nasko, also sacked the entire state executive committee of the party and directed that a fresh congress be held to elect new state executive members.

ThisDay learnt that Nasko was accused, among others, of inciting members of the party against the chairman and also organized unconstitutional vote of no confidence to be passed on the chairman.

In addition, according to a source close to the party, Nasko was alleged to have usurped the office and powers of the state chairman and designated himself as the chairman of the party in the state. He is said to have written letters in that usurped capacity to individuals soliciting for assistance for the party.
