Workers in Ekiti State on Sunday held a low key celebration to mark
the 2016 Workers’ Day  because of the four months ‘salaries  owed them
by the state government and  the death of the six doctors in an auto
crash  along Kaduna road last Sunday.

The workers,  who wore mournful looks at the Oluyemi Kayode
Stadium in Ado Ekiti, venue of the event,  offered prayers  for the
rejuvenation of the country’s nose-diving economy to enhance  prompt
payment of salaries and other benefits.

They also mourned  the six doctors who were members of the Nigerian Medical
Association that perished in an auto crash along  Kaduna  road praying
to God to grant  the families the fortitude to bear the monumental
    loss.
