A group, Concerned Nigeria Youths has declared support for the Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike on his resolve to rid the city of illegal settlers, weeds and drug sellers within the city centre.

The President of the group, Mohammed Babatunde, stated this on Thursday in Abuja during a rally staged at the National Assembly gate in support of Wike.

He noted that the current minister did not fit ethnic arithmetic, and religion definition of some people who appeared to be labouring under the burden of distress.

The group said for deploying the sheer power of thought and ideas to steer a big capítal city like Abuja, people with dishonest reputation are hell bent on resisting any attempt to embark on a reversal of the master plan

To this end, the group called on the Minister of FCT to continue his reforms, adding that he should never be distracted by the echoes of protest or sound-bites of agitations.

Babatunde stated: “We are in total support of Wike over his stand on illegal settlers, weeds and drug sellers within the city centre especially uncompleted buildings that must be routed and expelled.

“Nyesom Wike have led successful transformation in River state, he is a man of vision and capacity as a transformer, a detribalized leader and a sagacious politician who has influence, capacity, courage, competence, charisma, character, chemistry, enthusiasm and has strategically position himself to take a tough decision in putting FCT on the straight path of progress in making it one of the best cities in the world.”
